Lydbrook Primary School Centenary Project

Artists commissioned by Cinderford Artspace worked with a whole school to create great art works

Earlier this year Artspace was commissioned by Lydbrook Primary School to work with all the children in the school to create permanent art works to celebrate the School’s centenary year. Three artists: Sara Weaving, Tom Cousins and Steve Hyslop worked with the four age groups during the summer term to produce: commemorative flags and shields, a mural and a wall hanging based on research the children had done into the history of Lydbrook and its school. The project not only produced some great art work but introduced children to a whole range of new creative skills.
