Welcome to the Artspace Cinderford website.

Artspace Cinderford are an arts and education based charity based in the Forest of Dean. Established in 1988, the organisation specialises in offering fully inclusive, accessible creative opportunities for people of any age or ability.

Artspace are based at the New Mercury arts centre, Cinderford and offer a wide range of courses and one off workshops for adults and children, including painting and drawing, animation,  textiles, ceramics, drama, singing and circus skills.

In addition to the in-house programme, the organisation works extensively on an out-reach basis, at festivals, events and in schools, care homes and village venues.

Come to Artspace to enjoy an inclusive group workshop for adults in our fully equipped art studio in Cinderford or online. We offer many free and reduced cost places for eligible learners.

Artspace are pleased to offer three engaging art courses designed specifically for young people at different stages of their artistic journey. Whether you’re just starting out, exploring new techniques, or even achieve an Arts Award qualification, our courses provide a supportive and fun environment to develop your skills and express your unique creativity. 

Cinderford Artspace are one of the five founding partners of the Gloucestershire Creative Health Consortium. The consortium exists to inspire, nourish and surprise people with creative ways to manage their healthcare. Working together with NHS Gloucestershire, the consortium offers a wide range of creative ‘Arts on Prescription’ projects to individuals of all ages living in Gloucestershire.

Engage Circus provides circus and aerial skills for people of all ages and abilities, available at our Cinderford studios as well as through outreach programs.
