Arts Awards are a set of nationally recognised qualifications available to children and young people aged 25 and under.
Artspace is a registered National Arts Awards Centre and our trained staff can provide mentoring for children young people to enable them to achieve an Arts Award at all levels from Discover to Gold. Our Arts Award Advisers can support individuals who take part in our weekly activities, or we can design a bespoke Arts Award programme to suit groups. We also have available a range of online activity guides that will guide children and young people to achieve a Discover Arts Award as part of Arts Awards new Discover at Home programme. You can find those resources here.

Marianne Jarratt – Gold Arts Award Showcase
My name is Marianne Jarratt and I am currently a student at Hereford College of Arts.
Throughout the lockdown, I have been working on my Gold Arts Award. Since I have been unable to display my artwork in the Artspace exhibition space, I have instead created a virtual gallery tour to share with you all.
I based my Gold Arts Award on my love of Buddhism and the question ‘Is art mindful?’
This Virtual Exhibition showcases pieces I have created in my journey through this award.
It is lovely to still be able to show my work to you all, even if not in the way that I had hoped. I really hope you enjoy watching this. Do you think art is mindful? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. x
