(at Artspace Cinderford)

Cost: £60/ *£45 concessions

As we approach the Winter Solstice, nature invites us to slow down, reflect and listen more deeply. In myth and folklore, this is the realm of the Winter Goddess – the Wise Woman, the Crone, the keeper of intuition, creativity and deep knowing. Found in mythologies across the world she represents qualities that belong to all of us – regardless of gender.

Join yoga teacher and artist Aileen Wright for a nourishing day of yoga and creativity inspired by myth and the cycles of Nature.

The morning will weave together gentle yoga, breathwork, journalling and myth, exploring themes of wisdom, rest and transformation. After lunch, we’ll move into an afternoon of creative play, creating intuitive artworks inspired by the visionary worlds of Leonora Carrington, Agnes Pelton and the ancient icon tradition, where paintings were understood as portals into the sacred.

No previous experience of yoga or art is necessary – just curiosity and a willingness to explore. This workshop is open to all.

A day to pause, create and honour the quiet wisdom of midwinter.
