In June 2020, Artspace set the challenge for people to send in pieces of artwork depicting objects that are special to them.

Back in 2001 my wife and I travelled from San Francisco to Santa Barbara via Death Valley and including a few nights in Vegas. From there we took a flight to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon which was awesome. I like to bring back something as a reminder if our foreign travels and bought this beautiful carving, the history and origins of which you can see in the attached photo’s, it’s one of my treasured momento’s and a great reminder of a fabulous holiday.
